Ollie Wins Gold!

Gold at the Welsh Open target sprint 2025.

Ollie put in some amazing effort in the two individual heats where finished both times sub 5 minutes. He then ran again in a random mixed pairs event with Kate Lynock coming in 2nd. 

Ollies combined times for the two heats resulted in a 1st Place and a Gold Medal. 

He was up against a new comer Ben from Australia who was such a great person to be around, full of enthusiasm and encouragement for all. 

Great achievements by all, well done. 

Another surprise for Ollie was being awarded the Frank Cheesman memorial shield. Frank was part of the Welsh team when they started. He passed in 2020. Nigel Cole bought the shield and every year it is presented to a club member for their conduct and contribution.
